There are still quite too few women in IT and we'd like to see that changed. We focus on actions that address the root of the problem, empowering women and raising awareness among all in our company. We support local organisations driving organic change in the society and offer competitive, fair employment. We're aware of the unconscious bias and strive to counter it in our recruitment efforts. We see women and men for who they are as individuals in every professional aspect.
GSK IT develops and implements new business solutions and technologies for GSK all over the world. The GSK IT Business Services Center was opened in 2005 to support the transformation of the IT market in Europe. Currently, over 700 experts work here. The main areas of GSK IT's activities include: cyber security, R & D, drug management and monitoring systems, CRM applications, mobile applications, Multi Channel Marketing Services. The technology transformation that currently takes place in the IT sector is supported in our center by various meet-ups, hackathons and workshop sessions.
Our values and expectations are at the heart of everything we do and form an important part of our culture. One of it is respect for all people. There are clubs that actively support women's professional development and diversity in GSK IT. The main initiative supporting diversity is the GSK IT is open to people entering the labor market. We offer internships in various areas and preparing students for specialist position. One of our slogans is #beyou. We believe that everyone can find a place for themselves in our organization regardless of gender, age or origin.club. This club spreads diversity culture and anti-exclusion actions by organizing meetings with representatives of various minority groups.
Another example of our activity which support women is the Women Leadership Initiative. Its participants organize regular meetings of knowledge sharing and charity campaigns to support women who have experienced domestic violence or professional exclusion. There is also a book club for WLI member. They discuss and promoted around valuable readings for women leaders.
